经过多次的考察、论证，山东潍坊市于1994年率先从日本引进了岛本微生物工业株式会社的酵素菌技术（在日本称微生物农法），并直接进口了原种菌。由市委、市主要领导亲自挂帅，由潍坊市农委牵头成立了“潍坊市酵素菌技术推广应用领导小组”，制定了“立足潍坊、带动全省、服务全国”的总体战略。1995年5月23日《人民日报》以“实现世纪性跨越”为题全面介绍潍坊市推广应用酵素菌技术成果；《科技日报》1995年10月21日以“农业生物技术—酵素菌技术”为题，作为推广项目进行了全面介绍。由此，全国各地陆续来潍坊考察、咨询相关酵素菌技术，并引进推广。 为了更好的将酵素菌技术在全国推广应用，由日本酵素世界社和岛本微生物工业株式会社联合并授权成立：酵素世界社·中国山东总部。2000年3月任命潍坊真农酵素菌有限公司总经理刘子松为总部会长。 经过十几年的使用和探索，酵素菌生物技术在全国各地都得到了非常好的评价，不愧是当今世界范围内科技含量的农业生物技术，其应用范围也不断扩大。
